The spatial dimensions of water management - Redistribution of benefits and risks


The conference took place at the Campus of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Located in the midst of the dynamic, hospitable metropolitan area of the Ruhr, in the heart of Europe, the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) with its 20 faculties, RUB’s disciplinary institutional units, is home to 5,600 employees and over 41,000 students from 130 countries. The host of the 7th IWRM-conference of IAHS-ICWRS was the Institute of Hydrology, Water Management and Environmental Engineering, one of the leading Institutes of Hydrologic Engineering in Germany.
Bochum is located in North-Western Germany. The closest international airport is Duesseldorf (DUS). The city has very good railway and highway connections to other parts of Germany and neighboring countries in Europe.
